Dublin, Ireland
This move might surprise - but it should be no surprise - that I moved here with a long term intention of moving to Canada. After 3.5 years in Amsterdam and Covid-19, I was open to a change of scenery & community and by now, you should understand I mean things quite literally. Short and sweet, I was here for only 10 months but what a gorgeous and heartwarming 10 months it was!
Community Lead | WeWork
November 2023 - June 2024
Coming in as a Community Lead at WeWork’s Dublin Charlemont Exchange, the day that WeWork signed for Chapter 11, was not for the faint of heart. I sat on the intersection of people, operations and member experience. My role blended community building with office management and I was tasked with ensuring everything ran smoothly daily, while also supporting events our members genuinely wanted to show up for.
As a team of 5, we curated and delivered four member events per months ranging from professional networking, seasonal themes to artisitic experiences. These events weren’t just about fun, they were designed in a way to strengthen member engagement, encourage connection and support long term retention.
Alongside community engagement, I oversaw the day to day operations and needs for 20 offices within my home location. This included coordinating office customisations (think: hanging artwork and soundproofing to brand new walls) personally answering the needs of up to approximately 100+ employees per office space and maintaining consistently high service standards across the board.
Behind the scenes and within the everyday, I managed invoicing, renewals & terminations with a focus on clear communication between clients and internal teams. It was a role that required adaptability with a people first mindset and this was effortless for me as I thrive balancing problems with the energy to solve.
After a document heavy visa process for the Canadian Working Holiday visa, I was approved for entry and with a heart felt goodbye, it was time to embrace change once again and open up to a brand new continent. Pumped, the flights were booked for the summer and due to land in west Canada, Vancouver - a city where the beach, mountains and the city blend together.
